Isaiah Washington joined the Leathernecks March 2025 as an experienced football coach with a proven track record of recruiting, player development, and game planning. He most recently served as an Offensive Analyst at Texas A&M. During his time in College Station, Washington was part of the staff that led the SEC in scoring. He also played a key role in securing two of the top signing classes in the country, which included numerous highly touted wide receivers.
Coach Washington also spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons at New Mexico State University, he was part of the staff that achieved two of the most successful seasons in school history. Including the biggest win in program history with a victory over Auburn University. In 2023, he helped guide the team to a conference championship appearance against Liberty. During this stint he mentored players such as Heisman Finalist Diego Pavia, second round pick Eli Stowers, Jonathan Brady of the Las Vegas Raiders, and many other offensive skill players that went on to have successful careers.
Washington began his coaching career on the staff at Tulsa Union High School. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in developing several Division I Wide Receivers. His leadership contributed to Union’s sustained success, including three state championship game appearances.
Throughout his coaching career, he has mentored a number of Wide Receivers who have gone on to compete at the highest levels of football. This list includes Jahdae Walker (Chicago Bears), Noah Thomas (Cincinnati Bengals), Cyrus Allen (Kansas City Chiefs), Eli Stowers (Philadelphia Eagles), Jonathan Brady (Las Vegas Raiders), Jabre Barber (Cleveland Browns), and Demari Davis, an All-Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) honoree.
Washington has coached in three bowl games—the Quick Lane Bowl, the New Mexico Bowl, and the Las Vegas Bowl—gaining valuable postseason experience at the FBS level.
A former standout wide receiver, Washington played football at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he helped lead the Bronchos to two bowl game appearances.
A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma Washington earned his bachelor's degree in Science from Central Oklahoma before receiving a master’s of Education from New Mexico State. He and his wife, Jermanee, have a daughter, Tatum.
