PERSONAL: One of the most memorable moments in my tennis journey this far: When I traveled to Tunis with my coach, his coach, and the other girl I was working with. During that trip, these people showed me the true meaning of family and camaraderie on the court. Despite the challenges we faced, whether it was tough opponents or demanding training sessions, their unwavering support and encouragement created an atmosphere of unity and determination. Together, we celebrated victories and supported each other through setbacks, forming bonds that went beyond just tennis. It was during that trip that I realized the profound impact a supportive team can have on one's performance and overall experience in the sport. It wasn't just about the matches we played, but about the shared moments of growth, resilience, and joy that made it an unforgettable experience.
Who has been a major influence on your sports career and why: "My father has been the cornerstone of my sports career. His tireless work ethic and unwavering dedication have served as a constant source of inspiration. He has sacrificed everything for me, pouring his heart and soul into every aspect of my development. While he may not be a professional tennis player, his passion for life and relentless pursuit of success resonate deeply with me. His influence transcends the court, shaping not just my athletic journey, but also my character and determination in all aspects of life."...Why did you choose Western: "I picked Western Illinois University because it has great academics, a friendly community, and an awesome tennis program. It's a place where I can study hard and play tennis at a high level. Plus, the team vibe seems really welcoming and lively, so it seems like the ideal spot to chase my goals in both academics and sports."
