Biography

SENIOR (2023-24): Aina Cortina-Pou earned a pair of singles wins this season, both coming at the No. 3 spot and in conference play.

In doubles, Cortina-Pou had two wins, team with Anna-Evelina Trush for both victories.

JUNIOR (2022-23): Scored four victories in singles… Teamed with Lucky Kancherla to win a team-high six doubles matches.

SOPHOMORE (2021-22): Aina-Cortina-Pou went 1-13 in singles during the 2021-22 season.
In doubles play, Cortina-Pou would go 2-9. Cortina-Pou was 1-0 with Agatha Carbonell while going 2-9 when pairing with Lucky Kancherla.


FRESHMAN (2020-21): Did not play fall season due to COVID-19 Pandemic... made an appearance in all 11 matches during the season finishing with a 1-10 singles record… co-led the team with three doubles victories… earned her first collegiate singles victory at St. Francis (Ill.) on Feb. 14… her two wins with Lucky Kancherla led the team with most doubles victories with the same partner. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Institut Serrallarga…
a strong baseline player... has had lots of high level tournament experience and comes from an elite program in Spain, which has developed some very strong D1 players
 
PERSONAL: Born June 23, 2002… daughter of Jordi Cortina Monsterrat… sister Alba plays tennis at the University of Alabama… says parents and sister are the biggest influence, “We all enjoy watching and playing sports together as well as the important values they all teach.”... hobbies include listening to music, going on hikes, and hanging out with friends… plans to major in biochemistry.
