Biography

JUNIOR (2018): Summit League Academic Honor Roll... Started 25 games including 24 at catcher... Hit .227 at the plate with 15 hits, eight runs scored and five RBI... Her lone extra base hit came on a double versus Miami (Ohio) (Feb. 10)... Racked up a season-high three hits and drove in a run on March 31 at South Dakota. 

SOPHOMORE (2017): Summit League Academic Honor Roll... Played in four games... Hit .143 at the plate with a matching slugging and on-base percentage... Her lone hit on the season came against Loyola (Feb. 10).

FRESHMAN (2016): Summit League Academic Honor Roll... Started 13 games at catcher and appeared in 16... Went 3-for-3 against South Dakota (April 3)... Recorded three multi-hit games... Recorded first RBI against Boston College (Feb. 28)... Ranked fifth on the team with 71 putouts... Ended the year with a .235 batting average, .257 on base percentage and .235 slugging percentage.

HIGH SCHOOL: Bottino hit .440 last season at Lockport Township with four home runs and 18 RBIs. The sister of 2012-2016 Leatherneck outfielder Tierney Bottino, Sidney helped Illinois Chill Gold to a second place finish at the PGF Qualifiers in Naperville, Illinois before winning the PGF Midwest Championship. She was named one of the Top 100 Uncommitted Players in 2011 by Demarini. In 2013, Bottino helped Illinois Chill win the ASA Queen of Diamonds National Qualifier before finishing second at the TCS/USA National Championships in Reno, Nevada. The Lockport, Illinois native helped Illinois Chill to a third place finish in Myrtle Beach out of 40 teams. Bottino has earned seven MVP awards and has also lettered in swimming in each of her three years at Lockport.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Brian and Judy Bottino... Played on the Illinois Chill Gold travel team.
