Biography

GRADUATE STUDENT (2023): All-Summit Honorable Mention… named TicketSmarter Co-Peak Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 13…Named National Fastpitch Coaches Association 2023 NFCA DI All-Central Region First Team... Started in 20 of 27 appearances in the circle, throwing 120 total innings while striking out 107 opposing hitters… threw the fifth perfect game in program history during the season opener against Detroit Mercy on Feb. 12, striking out 12… also appeared in 40 games as the team’s designated player, batting .280 while leading the team in home runs (seven) and RBI (20) while boasting an OPS of .815 and slugging .491 across 118 total at bats… finishes her Western Illinois career tied with Ashley Campbell (2009-12) for second in program history with 21 home runs.

SENIOR (2022): Appeared both as a hitter and pitcher, starting 37 of 38 games as a hitter… hit .260 across 100 at-bats, leading the team with six doubles… recorded six multi-hit games in the season, including a 2-4 performance against South Dakota on April 30 that included a double and home run… pitched 53.2 total innings across 16 appearances in the circle, finishing the season with 43 strikeouts… struck out a season-high nine opposing hitters against Butler on Feb. 12… pitched two scoreless innings in relief on April 2, paving the way for a 4-2 victory over UND… followed it up with three scoreless innings and three strikeouts in the next game on April 3).

JUNIOR (2021): All-Summit League Second Team... took a big leap as an upperclassman... tied with Piper Foote for the second-most game starts - 44 of 45... team leader in several categories: batting average (.336), hits (44), RBI (33), and at-bats (131)... only Leatherneck to finish in the league's top-10 batting average for all individuals (T-7th)... went 4-4 versus UAPB (Feb. 26)... batted in three runs at Omaha (April 17)... also started 14 of 24 appearances at pitcher... tossed 74.2 innings... struck out eight batters versus UAPB (Feb. 25)... top-10 in the league in slugging percentage (.595) and on-base percentage (.396).

SOPHOMORE (2020): Started seven games in the circle... Collected a 1-2 record with a 6.13 ERA over 29.2 innings of work while striking out a career-high 35 batters... Struck out a career-high eight batters on two different occasions (Feb. 7 vs. IUPUI in 3.1 innings and March 8 vs. DePaul)... Struck out five batters or more on four occasions... Batted .273 (9-for-33) with a career-high three home runs and seven RBI.
 
FRESHMAN (2019): Appeared in 12 games in the circle including six starts... Collected a 1-3 record with a 7.00 ERA over 35.0 innings while striking out 28 batters... Struck out a season-high seven batters in her collegiate debut against Green Bay on Feb. 9... Picked up her first collegiate win in the circle after striking out six hitters over 5.1 innings at Omaha (May 5)... Crushed her first collegiate home run versus North Dakota State at Mary Ellen McKee Stadium on March 31.

HIGH SCHOOL: Led Downers Grove high school to two straight regional championships... she went 14-3 in the circle for DGN finishing the 2017 season with a 2.32 ERA; recording 151 strikeouts in 108 innings of work... she also finished the high school season amongst the best hitters in DuPage County, posting a .506 average with 30 RBIs and five home runs... two time All-conference (West Suburban), All-Area (DuPage County) right hander added a second team All-State honor to her high school career accomplishments in 2018... she led her travel team, the New Lenox Lightning, to its best season in a number of years, finishing tied for seventh at PGF Nationals Premier in Huntington Beach, Calif... Rodriguez finished the season with a 26-8 record, issuing 117 strikeouts in 153 innings, batting 369 for the season with 46 RBIs... daughter of Stephen and Kimberly Rodriguez
