Biography

FIFTH YEAR (2021): Made 19 starts in 24 appearances at catcher during her final season as a Leatherneck... went 3-4 versus UAPB (Feb. 26), a performance that saw her score two runs and chip in three RBI... doubled twice in that same contest... finished with two hits, a run scored, and an RBI in the eight-inning win over DePaul... finished her career with 92 starts in 105 games played.

SENIOR (2020): Appeared in 13 games including 12 starts … Finished the season batting .265 with nine hits, four doubles, one home run and two RBI… Drew four walks helping a .342 on-base percentage... Threw out five runners trying to steal... Her solo home run against DePaul aided the Leathernecks in defeating the Blue Demons, 4-3 on March 8.

JUNIOR (2019): All-Summit League Second Team... Started in 21 games all behind the plate at catcher… Finished the season batting .125 with four hits, four RBI, four runs scored and one home run… Threw out 11 runners trying to steal this season, which finished fifth in the Summit League... Only committed two errors on the season for a .988 fielding percentage... Hit a home run against IUPUI on Feb. 9, during the opening weekend of the campaign.

SOPHOMORE (2018): Started in 24 games all behind the plate at catcher… Finished the season batting .143 with six hits, five RBI, three runs scored and two home runs…  Against Bradley, she had two hits, three RBI and a home run… Smacked her other homer of the season on April 8 at home versus Purdue Fort Wayne.

FRESHMAN (2017): Played in 21 games, starting 20 of them... Finished the season batting .204 with 11 hits, five RBIs, six runs scored three doubles and two home runs... She slugging percentage was .370 and her on-base was .295... She tallied a season-best two multi-hit games, finishing both with two first against Houston Baptist (Feb. 24) and then against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 25).

HIGH SCHOOL: Henson joins the Leathernecks as a three-time Gold Glove winner and a two-time ESCC All-Conference selection. She was also named team captain and tabbed to the Chicago Sun Times 'Top 100' as well as being named a Chicago Bandits High School All Star. At Marian Catholic High School, she ranks in the 'Top 5' in career hits, doubles and homeruns. She also ranks in the 'Top 10' in RBI's and sixth in single season home runs. The native of Munster, Indiana, batted .407 with 19 doubles, eight home runs and 35 RBIs her senior. She also caught 12 of 15 stealing and recorded five pick offs. Her senior year she led her team to a regional championship.
