SENIOR (2014-15): Finished the season 2-6 in singles play and 0-7 in doubles competition... Competed at the top spot for the Leathernecks in both singles and doubles... Defeated Jake Norman of Creighton in straight sets... Picked up a three set victory over South Dakota State's Andrea Boglic in Summit League play.

JUNIOR (2013-14): Competed at the No. 1 singles and doubles position for the Leathernecks... Finished 5-8 overall at No. 1 singles and 4-7 at the top doubles spot... Collected conference victories in singles play over Eric McKnight of Omaha and Andrea Boglic of South Dakota State... Notched victories over Monmouth, Dayton, and Chicago State in singles action while earning doubles victories over Illinois-Chicago, Omaha, Monmouth, and Chicago State.

SOPHOMORE (2012-13): Spent the season as Western's No. 1 singles player...Posted a 5-6 doubles record, including a 4-3 mark at No. 2 doubles...Picked up singles victories against South Dakota State, Saint Louis and Chicago State...Won in doubles play against Chicago State, Valparaiso, Oral Roberts, Creighton and Omaha.

HIGH SCHOOL: Top competitor from the junior ranks in Germany... spent one year of high school at Quincy in Illinois as a foreign exchange student... while at Quincy, Haertel was selected to the Illinois High School All-State team... also excels in the classroom and has enrolled in Pre-Professional Studies with the expectation of becoming a dentist.
