At Western Illinois
2010-11 (Senior season): Went 8-14 during the Fall season while splitting time between No. 3 and No. 4. singles... finished the season 6-6 at No. 4 singles including three wins in league play... went 6-3 at No. 2 doubles with partner Jeff Cote... also won three matches at No. 3 doubles with Ben Yue.

2009-10 (Junior season): Went undefeated in fall play with a 7-0 singles record...held a 9-6 overall record in the spring...in spring competition he posted a 4-3 record at No. 6 singles, a 3-1 record at the No. 5 spot and 1-0 in the No. 7 flight...finished with a 1-1 Summit League record...in addition to his seven-match fall streak, he won four-straight matches from January 31 to February 27...he paired with Jeff Cote for a 1-0 record at No. 3 doubles.

At Idaho State
Alejandro Buceta joined the squad after playing two years of tennis at Idaho State University. He competed mainly at the No. 2 singles and doubles positions and was selected to the 2009 Big Sky Conference all-academic team.

Personal
The Madrid, Spain, native received an ITF No. 875 ranking in January 2007 and has competed in 20 ITF junior singles tournaments, 15 ITF junior doubles tournaments and has participated in one professional futures event (did not receive money).
