Biography
Junior (2022-23): Played in 14 games, averaging 13.1 minutes, 4.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Shot 39.7 percent (23-58) from the field.
Steph scored a season-high 13 points vs. Eureka and had a 12-point performance vs. Youngstown State. Gabriel also had an eight point, eight rebound game at UTRGV.
BEFORE WIU:Â Gabriel, a guard/forward combo player, started 19 games for the Cougars, while playing in 22 contests. He averaged 16 points per game for Highland while shooting 44.7 percent. Gabriel added seven rebounds and three assists per game.
Gabriel was awarded 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All Region for his stellar play during the 2021-2022 season. Gabriel also has been nominated to be an NJCAA D1 All American. He had a season high of 33 points against Harry S Truman, and recorded five double-doubles this season.
