Biography

2023-24: Payne played in three games, starting one, before injury ended his season early. Payne averaged 13.7 minutes, 3.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest. He blocked four shots and scored a season-high six points at SMU. He also had a season-high three blocks in the game at SMU.


BEFORE WIU: Payne played in and started 26 games last year at Wisconsin-River Falls. He led the team in scoring (16.8 ppg.) and rebounding (6.3) while playing 27.6 minutes per game. Payne shot 53.4 percent from the floor last year. Payne was named to the WIAC-First Team All Conference.
