CAREER: 28 GP (15 starts), 123 TT, 2 TFL, 9 PD, 3 INT, 1 FF, 1 FR

SENIOR (2012):
Saw action in the season-opener against Butler... made three tackles before suffering a season-ending injury.

JUNIOR (2011): Played in the first nine games (starting five times) but missed the final two due to injury... 24 of his 45 tackles were solo stops... made six solo tackles (eight total) in the season-opener at Sam Houston State... five solo tackles against Jacksonville... second on the team with nine tackles at Missouri... surpassed 100 career tackles at Northern Iowa making five stops... made five tackles against Southern Illinois... registered the first kickoff returns of his career, finishing with 81 yards on three returns... had a long of 38 yards in the game... defensively made five tackles against the Sycamores... made two tackles against Missouri State, including one for a loss... recorded five tackles at Youngstown State and returned a kickoff 44 yards... made an assisted tackle at Illinois State and added a 16-yard kickoff return.

SOPHOMORE (2010): Made five tackles in the season-opening win against Valparaiso... six tackles at Purdue, and came up with first career interception to help set up first touchdown... six tackles against Sam Houston State... recorded five tackles in the victory at North Dakota State... seven tackles at South Dakota State... recorded six tackles and a pass break-up against Youngstown State... five tackles at Missouri State... broke up a pass in the win over Illinois State... 11 tackles at Southern Illinois, including 10 solo stops... nine of his career-high number came in the first half... also forced a fumble and broke up a pass at Southern Illinois... four stops and two pass break-ups against Northern Iowa... came up with his first career fumble recovery and interception during the playoff win at Coastal Carolina... fumble recovery came in the redzone and picked off a pass in the endzone to close out the first half... added five tackles in the win... career-high 12 tackles and 60-yard interception return at Appalachian State.

REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2009): Played in the final five games of the season - Indiana State, North Dakota State, Illinois State, Northern Iowa and South Dakota State.

FRESHMAN (2008): Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year All-Area selection and two-year All-Conference honoree... started at both cornerback and wide receiver... named the Daily Herald Player of the Week and ESPN Player of the Week as a sophomore after recording two blocked punts and an interception... ranked second on the team in tackles as a sophomore... also was the primary return specialist... holds an IHSA record for most blocked punts in a game... recorded 13 career interceptions, among the ‘Top 30’ marks in state history... scored 10 touchdowns on offense... caught the longest touchdown pass in school history (94 yards)... forced 12 fumbles and broke up 11 passes... helped Downers Grove South to a 9-0 regular season record in 2007... earned three varsity letters in football, one in baseball and one in track.   

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 28, 1989 in Downers Grove... No. 1 sports highlight was blocking two punts and intercepting a pass in the same game... his parents and high school baseball coach Rob Rooney have been a major influence, “They always encouraged me to excel in everything I do on and off the field.”... most admires NBA great Michael Jordan... enjoys golfing... favorite professional teams are the Chicago Bears and White Sox... favorite musician is Lil Wayne... son of Tyrone and Jeanne West.
