HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time Western Big Six All-Conference selection, his final two years an unanimous pick… earned Academic All-Conference honors… named All-State… First Team Champaign News-Gazette All-State... received an invitation to play in the Shriner's All-Star game... 2016 team won the first IHSA playoff game in program history... 2014 team won the WB6 championship... played for coach Tim Dougherty… selected as a  Western Big Six All-Conference honorable mention on the bass fishing team ... named Western Big Six All-conference and an IHSA all-state honorable mention on the steer roping team ... lettered four years in track and football
 
PERSONAL: Born April 5, 1999 in Galesburg… former offensive lineman Joe Pyszka has been a major influence, “He has been an awesome influence. He has taught me many things about football and life, and a few wrestling moves.”… most admires his brother Ryan, a four-year Leatherneck letterwinner, “I have grown up watching him and he has been an exceptional role model for me.”… his brother Ryan played at WIU from 2011-15 and his cousin Nathan Ricketts played at Central Michigan from 2012-16… enjoys hanging out on the farm, hunting and joking around… favorite professional teams are the Chicago Blackhawks and Cubs… favorite musician is George Strait… son of Duane and Cindy Ricketts
