Biography

JUNIOR (2017): Saw action in 11 games…finished with two tackles (1 solo)…recorded a tackled at Northern Arizona…completed the season at Weber State with a solo tackle.

SOPHOMORE (2016): Started in all 11 games as the long snapper on punts and kicks... assisted tackle at South Dakota State... solo tackle against Illinois State.

FRESHMAN (2015): Played in the final eight games of the season... started as the long snapper on punt and eventually took over the entire long snapping duties... made four tackles and forced a fumble.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football and baseball… earned Academic All-Conference honors three years… Second Team All-Conference at center and defensive line his senior year… played for coach Gary Jones.

PERSONAL: Born October 15, 1996 in Sterling, Illinois… No. 1 sports highlight was getting a fumble on a punt his sophomore year against Newman Central Catholic to get the ball back and eventually score… lists his parents, coaches, and teammates as major influences in his sports career… most admires former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, “He has been loyal to the same team for his entire career and has been nothing less than a class act in the Majors.”… enjoys lifting weights, playing basketball, hanging out with friends and trying new food… favorite professional teams are Chicago Blackhawks, Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees… enjoys country music, including Cole Swindell and Florida Georgia Line… son of John and Amy Varga.
