Kieron James

Kieron James joined head coach Charlie Fisher's staff during the spring 2016 as an assistant coach. He will assist working with the wide receivers.

James is no stranger to Leatherneck Football. A four-year letterwinner, James earned All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors his junior year at cornerback. He played in 41 career games, making 32 starts. During his four years, James recorded 23 pass break-ups, tied for the sixth-most in program history. He made 153 tackles, forced three fumbles, two forced fumbles and recorded five interceptions.

One of the biggest plays in his career came in 2010 during the opening round of the FCS Playoffs at Coastal Carolina. James picked off his first career pass at the goal line during the game's final drive to secure the Leathernecks' victory.

He earned his bachelor's degree in Construction Management with a minor in Human Resource Management from WIU and is currently pursing his master's in Sport Management.
