REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2015):  Did not see any game action.

FRESHMAN (2014): Redshirted... named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four times in football and twice each in basketball and track/field… selected to the South Central All-Conference team… Decatur Herald and Review All-Area… twice received the Leadership Award… Varsity Big Brother Award… his senior year recorded 36 tackles at defensive end with one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries… team twice won conference… played for coach Al Stupek. 

PERSONAL: Born October 10, 1995 in Springfield… member of the Pana FFA and Pana Fellowship of Christian Athletes… his uncles Hal Call and Butch Nowack have been a major influence… most admires his football coaching staff, “They teach you discipline, how to become a good man and expect nothing but the best from you.”… his uncle Butch was an All-American at Illinois and Hal set a record for longest punt return at Southern Illinois… enjoys hunting, fishing, sports and spending time with family and friends… favorite professional teams are Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls and Cubs… son of Rodney and Nikki Carls.
