Biography

At Western Illinois
2007 (Senior season): Was a very capable backup to all-American Herb Donaldson... appeared in all 11 games and started the last game of his career... rushed for 100 yards against Missouri State... had two additional 90-yard outings... totaled 86 carried for 4445 yards and seven touchdowns... averaged 5.2 yards per carry... ranked third on the team in total offense, scoring and all-purpose yards... was Western's top receiving running back, catching eight passes for 55 yards... earned the Coaches' Appreciation Award at the team's annual awards banquet.

2006 (Junior season): Served as backup running back in nine games... amassed 254 yards and two touchdowns on 58 carries... used as an effective complement to starter Herb Donaldson... rushed for 87 yards on 16 carries at Western Kentucky... averaged 28.2 yards per game... was the team’s third-leading receiver, catching 20 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns... had a career-long 52-yard reception against Youngstown State... set a career high of 72 receiving yards on four catches in the season finale... also returned kicks midway through the season, recording eight for 174 yards and a long of 35 in three games.

2005 (Sophomore season): Had at least one carry in all 11 games, backing up Travis Glasford... rushed for 200 yards on 47 carries with a touchdown and caught four passes for 25 yards... recorded a season-high 54 yards on nine carries against Northern Colorado... scored on a 10-yard run against Iowa Wesleyan... also returned two kicks for 49 yards.

2004 (Freshman season): Registered 271 yards on 50 carries and three receptions for 24 yards... against Quincy, became the first true freshman to start at running back since Travis Glasford in 2002... recorded a personal-best 29 carries for 168 yards with two touchdowns in his only start of the season, breaking Glasford’s freshman single-game records... also scored in his first collegiate game (Cheyney), and at Southern Illinois... averaged 5.4 yards per rush and 8.0 yards per reception... also averaged 32.8 all-purpose yards per game... was one of six true freshmen to experience significant playing time... ranked second on the team in rushing and was among the top 10 in scoring and total offense... also participated on the track and field team... recorded the team’s best long jump mark during the indoor season (22’-3.75”) and a personal-best in the triple jump of 45’-9.25”... recorded personal records during the outdoor season of 21’-7.5” in the long jump and 44’-2.75” in the triple jump.

Rushed for 2,204 yards and 22 touchdowns in two seasons... led the conference in rushing as a senior... named to the Quincy Herald Whig All-Area Team... an all-conference honoree... led the team in receptions... winner of back-to-back team MVP awards.
