Ticketing
After thorough discussion and consultation with university leaders, Western Illinois Athletics made the decision to decrease seating at all outdoor events this spring; the change limits entry to family members of student-athletes and staff.

Student-athletes will be permitted to have only their families in attendance, admitted via the player pass list.

Leatherneck football season ticket holders who previously purchased tickets in the fall will have three options.

Option 1: Transfer season tickets to the fall 2021 season
Option 2: Transfer payment to the Leatherneck Club as a tax-deductible donation
Option 3: Receive a full refund

Athletic staff will be in contact with all who renewed for the 2020 season.

WIU Athletics will continue to monitor the attendance policy throughout the spring. Updates will be provided on GoLeathernecks.com.

Tailgating
Per current state and local guidelines, tailgating will not be permitted at any athletic event.

Media
Due to limited spacing, media will not be permitted inside the Hanson Field press box. A media workroom has been created in Waggoner Hall; seating is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Media will be permitted to film/shoot from a select section in the visiting seating area inside Hanson Field.

To request a media credential, please contact Monyae Williamson at ms-williamson@wiu.edu. All interviews (postgame and otherwise) will be conducted via Zoom.

Check-in will begin an hour before kick-off and is required for entry into Hanson Field and the media workroom.

  • Enter through the east arena doors (Q-Lot side); the screening table is located inside the door.
  • All are encouraged to fill out the WIU Guest daily self-check and show the clearance email at the screening table. If the online self-check is not completed prior to arrival, screening questions will be asked before entry into Hanson Field and/or the media workroom.
  • A temperature check will be taken upon arrival.
  • Once you have cleared the screening table, you will be given a wristband. You will not be permitted inside the stadium or workroom without this band.
  • Masks are required for entry to the workroom and Hanson Field and must be properly worn at all times.
