SENIOR (2021): Played in 10 games while making three starts... team leader in rushing yards by a wide margin (487)... ran in three touchdowns... picked up a season-best 89 yards on 13 carries against Southern Illinois (Oct. 2)... also ran in a 25-yard attempt during that same home contest... posted back-to-back performances of 77 and 70 yards versus Illinois State (Oct. 30) and South Dakota (Nov. 6), respectively.

At LAMAR: Played in 28 games earning 13 starts during his career... carried the ball 309 times for 1,519 yards (4.9 ypc) and 10 touchdowns… made 48 receptions for 413 yards (8.6 ypr) and two touchdowns.

HIGH SCHOOL: A Houston Chronicle Top 100 recruit... second-team All-Greater Houston running back... finalist for the Greater Houston Offensive Player of the Year award... earned second-team all-district honors as a junior… rushed for more than 1,600 yards and 22 touchdowns through just nine games as a senior… earned honorable mention all-district honors as a sophomore… received attention from Rutgers and UMass… was also a standout on the track team.

PERSONAL: Son of Paul and Gereta Wanza... brother, Chace, is a Lamar University graduate... also has a sister, Ashley... third cousin, Taiwan Jones, is a running back for the Buffalo Bills... another cousin, Larry Collins, was a third- round selection by the Cleveland Browns and now plays for the New Orleans Saints.
