SENIOR (2021): First Team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference... MVFC All-Newcomer Team... First Team Associated Press FCS All-America... First Team Stats Perform FCS All-America... Second Team HERO Sports FCS All-America... Third Team Phil Steele FCS All-America (Defense)... Athlon Sports 2021 FCS All-America Team... finished sixth in voting as a Buck Buchanan Award finalist... arriving in Macomb for his first year, Joiner made an immediate impact as one of the nation's best defenders... led the FCS in total tackles (142) and solo tackles (79)... exploded for a 23-tackle performance, which ranks sixth-best in program history for a single game, at Youngstown State (Sept. 25)... was subsequently tabbed the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 26) and FCS Stats Perform National Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 27)... registered double-figures in tackles in all but two of the Leathernecks' 11 games... seven different showings saw him make 12 or more tackles... forced a fumble versus Illinois State (Oct. 30)... made three quarterback hurries versus Southern Illinois (Oct. 2)... ended the year with five pass breakups.

At JACKSONVILLE STATE: Made appearances in five games in his second full year as a Gamecock during 2019, including three-straight to start the season...recorded 16 tackles on the year, including eight solo and three tackles for loss...had a new career-high game in the season-opener against Southeastern Louisiana with seven tackles... in 2018, made appearances in all 13 games... recorded 27 tackles including 17 unassisted and 10 with assistance... also picked up two 0.5 tackles for loss for a total of two yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Handley High School in Roanoke, Ala., for head coach Larry Strain…led the Tigers to their first Class 4A AHSAA state championship and Region 3 championship last year since 2011…named All-State First Team and All-Region First Team following his senior campaign… Handley finished the season 13-2 overall and 6-1 in the region with Joiner patrolling the secondary… also lettered in basketball.
 
PERSONAL: Born on Sept. 29, 1998, in Roanoke, Ala…the son of Robert and Regina Joiner…has one brother - Demarcus...majoring in biology at JSU.
