Biography

SENIOR (2020): Started all 19 games…Recorded eight hits and drew a pair of walks...Stole a base against IUPUI on Feb. 7... Went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored versus Grand Canyon (Feb. 14).

JUNIOR (2019): All-Summit League Second Team...Summit League Academic Honor Roll... Started and hit in the leadoff spot all 40 games… Logged a .308 batting average with team-high 40 hits and 31 runs scored... Drove in seven runs with three doubles and one triple... Recorded 10 multi-hit games… Drew 28 walks with a .430 on-base percentage... Went 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored in a 7-2 win at South Dakota State on April 7… Notched three hits again at UIC on April 13 while scoring two runs. 

SOPHOMORE (2018): Summit League Academic Honor Roll... Started in 42 games… Logged a .333 batting average with 44 hits, 22 runs, eight RBIs and five doubles… Finished with a slugging percentage of .373 and .429 on-base percentage… Recorded nine multi-hit games… Went 4-for-4 at the plate with one RBI and two runs scored versus UNCW on March 3… Notched four hits again when playing UMKC on March 15 while collecting a season-high three RBI.

FRESHMAN (2017): Summit League Academic Honor Roll... Appeared and started in 49 games… logged a .219 batting average with 16 hits and 19 runs… recorded a triple in second-career game against Belmont on February 18… recorded a .973 fielding percentage while only making two errors… had 69 putouts

HIGH SCHOOL: Lara, a native of Bettendorf, Iowa, joins the Purple and Gold as a 2015 First Team All-Metro and First Team All-Conference selection at Pleasant Valley High School. Lara helped guide Pleasant Valley to two consecutive Mississippi Athletic Conference titles, leading the team in batting average (.450) and runs scored. A 4.0 honor roll student in the classroom, Lara also excelled on the travel circuit with the Xtreme Havoc. In the outfield, Lara was a member of the Havoc team that finished runner-up at the 2015 ASA Illinois tournament while being named 2014 USSSA World Series MVP. Lara's Havoc team finished runner-up at the 2014 USSSA Illinois State tournament and third at the 2014 USSSA Nationals.

At Pleasant Valley, she led the team with a .467 batting average. In 2014, her team placed sixth in state and placed second in 2016. Lara is a two-time all-conference selection.
