Biography

SOPHOMORE (2016): Played in all 11 games... 103 rushing yards on 11 attempts... caught two passes for 23 yards and a touchdown, both coming in the Illinois State game.

REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2015): Saw action in all 13 games... third on the team with 37 receptions, 493 yards and four touchdowns... season-long 53-yard reception... completed 1-of-2 passes for 19 yards... rushed eight times for 45 yards... 17-yard punt return... team-leader with 26 kickoff returns totaling 525 yards... recorded a 17-yard punt return in his collegiate debut against Eastern Illinois... caught a pass for six yards at Illinois... caught four passes for 51 yards, including his first collegiate touchdown reception, at Coastal Carolina... added 81 yards on five kickoff returns... career-high 96 receiving yards on three catches versus Southern Illinois, including a 53-yard TD catch... added 99 yards on four kickoff returns to give him a season-high 195 all-purpose yards... caught two passes for seven yards against South Dakota... rushed for the first time in his collegiate career at UNI, getting four carries for 16 yards... added a career-high six receptions for 56 yards and 98 kickoff return yards on five attempts... made three catches for 45 yards at Illinois State, including a 24-yard TD reception, and added an 11-yard kickoff return... caught an 11-yard pass and returned four kickoffs for 65 yards against Youngstown State... four receptions at North Dakota State totaling 26 yards and returned a kickoff 23 yards... two catches for 27 yards at Indiana State... caught five passes for 41 yards versus South Dakota State... rushed one time for 24 yards and caught two passes for 34 yards at Dayton... recorded a 9-yard touchdown... four receptions for 93 yards and added 79 kickoff return yards (3 attempts, 43-yard as longest return) at Illinois State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named to the Daily Herald Northwest All-Area team and was selected as the team captain… MSL Conference MVP as a senior… IHSA All-State… selected to the 2011 Tom Lemming/NCSA All-Area team… three-year starter at quarterback… helped the Saxons to the program’s best season since 1999… scored a touchdown in every game his senior year… twice had a four-touchdown performance as a senior… ended the 2013 season with 1,963 rushing yards on 191 carries (10.3 ypc) and 31 touchdowns… passed for 474 yards and threw for four TDs with only one interception… also returned a punt for a touchdown against Barrington… rushed for 193 yards on just 19 attempts against Glenbard West in the state semifinals… helped the team average more than 36 points per game and accounted for nearly half of the Saxons’ rushing yards on the year… lettered in football, baseball, wrestling and track/field… as a junior finished second in the MSL and second in sectionals in the long jump… won the conference long jump title and sectional title in the long jump, placed 10th at state in the event… captured the conference triple jump title and also won the event at sectionals in 2014... broke the Schaumburg school record in the long jump... helped the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams qualify for state... became the first track athlete in Schaumburg history to qualify for state in four different events… only athlete in MSL conference history to qualify for state in four events two years in a row (4x100, long jump, triple jump, 4x200)... in 2014 the 4x200 relay won the state title... placed at state in the long jump... set the HS track and field points record... played football for coach Mark Stilling… as a freshman won a conference title in wrestling.

PERSONAL: Born March 12, 1996… No. 1 sports highlight was scoring the game-winning touchdown against Fremd his sophomore year in overtime… his uncle LeSean Stallings has been a major influence, “He played both quarterback and defensive back in high school as did I.”… most admires the offensive line coach at Schaumburg Bill Lange, “He has kept it real with me and never sugarcoated a thing. I’ve looked up to him since I was 14 years old entering high school.”… his relative April Sykes is a WNBA player for the Los Angeles Sparks… enjoys listening to music, working out, sports, social media and playing Super Mario Brothers… favorite professional team is the Pittsburgh Steelers… favorite music artist is Big L… son of Stacey Smith, Sr. and Betty Stallings.
