Biography
SENIOR (2016-17): Played in 10 of the team's first 11 games before suffering a season-ending knee injury... In those game he started all 10 games, averaged 25.2 minutes, scored 6.2 points, dished out 3.0 assists and grabbed 2.9 rebounds per game... Scored a season-high 19 points in WIU's home contest against SEMO (Nov. 16).
JUNIOR (2015-16): One of two players to have played in and started all 27 games... Averaged 32.6 minutes per game... Finished fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 8.4 points per game... Led the team and ranked second in The Summit League in assists with 128, averaging 4.7 per game... Also led the team in steal (48)... Also tied for third on the team in reounds, averaging 4.1 per game... Shot 38.0 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from three, and 72.5 percent from the free throw line... Had nine games with 10-plus points... Scored a season-high 17 points vs. Omaha (Feb. 3)... Finished with 16 points vs. UIC (Nov. 17)... Also scored 15 in WIU's season finale versus South Dakota (Feb. 27)... Had back-to-back games with nine and eight assists, first at Chicago State and then at Loyola.
SOPHOMORE (2014-15): Summit League Player of the Week on Jan. 5... Tabbed Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Dec. 1... Played in all 28 games and started 25 of them... Averaged 29.4 minutes per game... Averaged the third most points per game on the team, 7.4... Dished out a team-best 4.3 assists per game... Ranked first in The Summit League in assists per game (4.3) and assist/turnover ratio (2.0)... Tied for second on the team in total steals with 25... Shot 35.8 percent from the field (72-201), 30.0 from the three-point line (21-70), and 60.3 from the free throw line (41-68)... Had seven games where he scored 10 or more points... Averaged 9.0 points (tied for third on the team), a team-best 3.1 assists (92 total), & 2.5 rebounds per game... Also led the team in steals per game (1.2)... Shot 87-of-222 (39.2%) from the field this season, 22-of-72 (30.6%) from beyond the arc, & 73-of-101 (72.3%) from the free throw line... His 22 triples ranked third on the team... Scored a season-high 15 points in Western’s final regular season game of the season (March 1)... Has 14 games with 10 or more points (tied for second on the team)... Tallied at least three assists in 22 games this season... Grabbed a season-high seven rebounds in the team’s season-opener at Idaho (Nov. 9)... HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Neuqua Valley (Naperville, Ill.) in the spring of 2013...Averaged 15.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.2 steals per game as a senior, and was named Conference Player of the Year...Named Third Team All-State...Helped lead Neuqua Valley to a 28-3 record last season...One of 40 nominees for Illinois Mr. Basketball in 2012-13...Averaged 11 points, four rebounds, and five assists per game as a junior...Finished career as Neuqua Valley's 3rd all-time leading scorer and all-time leader in steals and assists.
PERSONAL: Son of Michael and Kimberly...Hobbies include playing NBA2K and buying shoes...His parents and AAU coach, Rodney Davis, have been a major influence on his career because they always pushed him to excel...Admires Damien Lillard because he worked really hard to get to the NBA from a small mid-major program and was named Rookie of the Year...Favorite musical artist is A$AP Rocky...Number one sports highlight was hitting a game-tying 3-pointer against Benet Academy.
