JUNIOR (2016): MVFC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award... MVFC Honor Roll... Saw action in all 11 games... finished with 19 tackles (15 solos), 3.0 tackles for a loss, and one interception... finished with four tackles at Eastern Illinois... both of his solo tackles against Northern Arizona went for a loss... solo tackle at Northern Illinois... came up with a sack against Indiana State, one of his two solo tackles in the game... two tackles at Missouri State... came up with his first interception of the year against North Dakota State (8 yards)... season-high five solo tackles at South Dakota and a quarterback hurry... earned the start against Illinois State, recorded two tackles.

SOPHOMORE (2015): Played and started in all 13 games… second on the team with 84 tackles… 10.5 tackles for a loss, a 12-yard sack and six pass break-ups… three quarterback hurries, one interception and a forced fumble… recorded five tackles and broke-up a pass while making his first collegiate start against Eastern Illinois… eight tackles at Illinois, including five solos... four solo tackles at Coastal Carolina… solo tackle for a loss and forced a fumble versus Southern Illinois… career-high 10 tackles versus South Dakota… made five tackles at UNI (four solos) and broke up a pass… four tackles at Illinois State, of which three were solos… career-high 14 tackles against Youngstown State, including 11 solo stops... of those 14 tackles, 4.0 were for a loss - the most by a Leatherneck in four seasons… six tackles at North Dakota State, including a shared for loss… recorded seven tackles at Indiana State… made eight tackles, including 2.0 tackles for a loss, versus South Dakota State... broke up a pass… made six tackles, recorded his first career interception and had a 12-yard sack at Dayton… six tackles and a pass break-up at Illinois State in the playoffs.
 
REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2014): Played in eight games, including six in MVFC play... recorded four tackles, including a 7-yard sack... two tackles each against Valparaiso and Drake.

FRESHMAN (2013): Redshirted... named to the MVFC Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football, track/field and basketball... three-time All-Conference selection as a defense back... also earned All-Conference as a returner (2011), running back (2011), and utility player (2012)... voted the conference's 'Defensive Player of the Year' last fall... two-time selection as All-State, one year as a returner and last season at defensive back... selected to the Lions Club All-Star game... played for coach Cody McDowell.

PERSONAL: Born March 29, 1995... his parents have been a major influence, "They have been behind me with all my sports."... most admires former Baltimore Ravens defensive back Ed Reed, "I think I play football just like he does."... enjoys playing X-box and hanging out with friends... son of Dave and Kay Brott.
