JUNIOR (2012): One of 10 finalists for the Fred Mitchell Award for outstanding kicker... voted program's Co-MVP... started in all 11 games as the team's place kicker and punter... perfect on the year in kicks and averaged 38 yards on a program season record 84 punts... matched career-high with three FG against Butler and converted both extra point attempts... averaged personal-best 43.7 yards on three punts, including a career-long of 52 yards... three touchbacks on his six kickoff attempts... named Missouri Valley Football Conference Special Teams 'Player of the Week' and Honorable Mention kicker by the College Football Performance Awards... FG made and touchbacks matched his 2011 season total... set a career-high with a 46-yard field goal against Indianapolis... also converted from 34 yards out late in the game and hit all three extra points... averaged 41.8 yards on four punts (long of 51) and had two touchbacks on his six kickoffs versus Indy... tied for the third-most punts in a game by a Leatherneck when he punted 11 times (38.5 avg) at Iowa State, putting three inside the 20-yard line... accounted for the team's only points at ISU with a 26-yard field goal... kicked a 21-yard field goal against Illinois State and averaged 31.1 yards on seven punts (one inside the 20)... noted for his play during September by the Fred Mitchell Award list... hit a 21-yard FG and made all three extra points at South Dakota... averaged 38.8 yards on eight punts, including a career-long 54-yarder... made it six straight games kicking a field goal, hitting a 23-yarder at South Dakota State... averaged 36.4 yards on nine punts, including four inside the 20-yard line... matched career-high of 11 punts against Indiana State, averaging 38.2 yards... had a punt blocked, but wound up rushing two times totaling 36 yards and made his extra point attempt... hit a 27-yard FG at Missouri State, averaged 37 yards on seven punts, threw an 11-yard pass for first down and had a 10-yard rush at Missouri State... noted for his play during October by the Fred Mitchell Award list... averaged 36.1 yards on seven punts versus UNI, did not attempt a field goal or extra point attempt... made his extra point attempt versus Youngstown State... averaged 43.8 yards on six punts, including a career-long matching 54-yarder, versus YSU... matched a season-high of 11 punts at Southern Illinois, averaging 38.5 yards per kick.

SOPHOMORE (2011):
Named Special Teams Player of the Year by the program... saw his streak of 21 consecutive extra points made come to an end at Sam Houston State... converted all five extra point attempts but missed from 48 and 30 yards against Jacksonville... converted a 20-yard field goal (his first of the season) and the team's extra point attempt at Northern Iowa... converted on 3-of-4 extra points against Southern Illinois, having his last attempt tipped and missing short... kicked a season-long 26-yard field goal at Indiana State and converted all three extra point attempts... kicked a 21-yard field goal and two extra points against Missouri State... converted both extra points at Youngstown State... made his extra point attempt at Illinois State... called upon to punt in the second half and averaged 37.7 yards on his three attempts, including a long of 51 yards... made his extra point attempt against South Dakota State and recorded his third touchback of the year on a kickoff... good on all three extra point attempts against North Dakota State... named to the 2011 Fred Mitchell Award Watch List, honoring a placekicker with standout achievements on the field and community work... named preseason All-Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) by the Phil Steele College Football Preview... voted 2011 Preseason All-MVFC in a vote by the coaches, sports information directors and media. Received the Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award from the Missouri Valley Football Conference. 

REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2010): Took over the placekicking duties the last six games of the season... went nine-of-nine on extra points his second game versus Illinois State... made his first collegiate field goal attempt (32 yards) at Southern Illinois... made three field goals: 19, 28 and 32 yards against Northern Iowa... tabbed MVFC Player of the Week following his performance in the regular season finale versus UNI... converted 38-yarder at Coastal Carolina... finished five-of-seven field goals and 21-of-21 extra points... named to the Academic Honor Roll from the MVFC... transferred during the off-season after redshirting last fall at University of Missouri.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years in football... two-time Mid-State Six All-Conference honors at kicker, safety and receiver... twice named to the Quincy Herald-Whig All-Area team at kicker and safety... two-time Special Teams Player of the Year... helped Notre Dame to an 11-1 record his senior year... KHQA-TV Do or Die at kicker and safety.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 25, 1991 in Quincy... No. 1 sports highlight was kicking the game-winning field goal against Peoria Richwoods to the win the conference championship, and the game-winning field goal in overtime against Peoria Woodruff his sophomore season... most admires his dad... son of Bryan and Donna Smith.
