Biography

CAREER: 35 GP (18 starts), 46 TT, 10 passes defended, 1 INT

SENIOR (2012): Voted team captain... played in the season-opener against Butler.

JUNIOR (2011): Played in all 11 games... recorded three solo tackles in the opener at Sam Houston State... broke up a pass at Northern Iowa... earned his first start since the Sam Houston game, doing so at Youngstown State... solo tackle against North Dakota State.

SOPHOMORE (2010): Named to the Academic Honor Roll of the Missouri Valley Football Conference... made two solo tackles in the win over Valparaiso... two solo tackles at Purdue... solo tackle and two pass breakups against Sam Houston State... made two tackles versus Indiana State... four tackles in the win at North Dakota State and broke up two passes... made four tackles (three solos) at South Dakota State... finished with three tackles and broke up a pass against Youngstown State... made three solo tackles at Missouri State... assisted on a tackle against Illinois State... solo tackle at Southern Illinois... assisted tackle against Northern Iowa... recorded a solo tackle at Coastal Carolina, and big play was his first career interception in the redzone during the first half... made two solo tackles in the playoff game at Appalachian State.

REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2009): Played in the first 10 games but missed the season-finale... made three starts... recorded four solo tackles at Indiana State... three tackles in the win at Sam Houston State and against Stephen F. Austin... recorded a pass break-up on three occasions... forced a fumble at Sam Houston State... 11 of his 15 tackles were solo stops.

FRESHMAN (2008): Redshirted... named Defensive Scout Team Co-Player of the Year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three letters in football... was a 2007 Chicago Conference All-City selection and a Class 5A All-State Academic Team honoree... named Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Week after returning two interceptions for touchdowns and catching a 35-yard touchdown pass... caught 37 passes for 600 yards... intercepted seven passes and returned three for touchdowns... had one kick return and two punt returns for touchdowns... recorded 1,200 all-purpose yards and 17 total touchdowns... also lettered in track and field... National Honor Society student.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 18, 1990... No. 1 sports highlight was returning the interceptions back for touchdowns... most admires his coach, "He believed in me."... enjoys video games, studying and working out... son of Clifford Boone, Sr. and Beverly Boone.
