Leatherneck Softball Lands Dayton Transfer (June 13, 2011)

At Western Illinois:

Transferred from Dayton and will join the Fighting Leathernecks for the 2012 season. Will be a junior during the 2012 season.

At Dayton:

2010
Started 15 games with 35 appearances…lowest team ERA 4.37 and a team high 72 strike outs…tied Dayton’s single season saves record with 3 saves…in a three game stretch (IUPUI and St. Bonaventure doubleheader) had a 0.54 ERA, with only one earned run and seven strike outs…pitched 10 complete games throughout the season…was voted the team’s Most Improved Player.

Prior to UD
A two-time MVP for Johnsburg High School who also played travel ball for Lake County Liberty...was named to the Northwest Herald All-Area Team in 2007 and 2008...led Johnsburg to back-to-back Regional Championships in 2007 and 2008...during her seven years playing club ball she has received numerous tournament MVP awards; named a USSSA All-Tournament Pitcher in 2007 and followed that by being named a 2008 Sparkler All-American All Star...helped her U16 travel team to a fifth place finish at the 2007 ASA Nationals.
