Biography

SENIOR (2015): 2015 Summit League Spring Academic Honor Roll... Appeared in all 41 games, making 40 starts... Made 32 starts at catcher... Broke The Summit League record for most hit by pitches in a career... Drove in three runs against Omaha (May 3)... Hit a home run in two of her final three games... Ended the year with four home runs and 17 RBIs... Career-high 12 doubles... Her 12 doubles put her in a tie for tenth all-time at Western for most doubles in a career (35)...  Hit two doubles against Fort Wayne (March 30).. Hit two triples... Ranked 16th nationally in hit by pitch per game (0.34) and 59th as the toughest batter to strikeout... Finished the year with a .291 average. 

JUNIOR (2014):
2013-14 Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll Distinguished Scholar... Appeared in 45 games and made 42 starts as a Designated Hitter, catcher and at third... Her .296 average was a career high at WIU... Scored 10 runs with a career-high nine doubles and 19 RBIs... Hit two home runs... Went four-for-four against Winthrop with four RBIs on 2/15... Went three-for-three against Northern Colorado with two RBIs on 3/15... Recorded nine multi-hit games this season.

SOPHOMORE (2013): 2012-13 Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll Distinguished Scholar... Appeared in 37 games as a second baseman, catcher, outfielder, first baseman, and designated hitter... batted .248 (25-for-101) with seven doubles, five home runs and 29 RBI... team leader in RBI (29), doubles (7) and second on the team in home runs (5)... hit first collegiate home run in 2/9 season opener against Central Arkansas... had three hit games on 3/9 against Delaware State and 4/21 against South Dakota State... drove in three runs on 2/24 against Iowa and 3/8 against North Carolina A&T... ranked third on the team in slugging percentage (.465)... ranked eighth in Division I getting hit by 16 pitches (0.43 per game)... ranked 80th in Division I with 80 sacrifice flies.

FRESHMAN (2012): 2012 Winter/Spring Academic All-Summit League... appeared in 51 games, starting 49 primarily as the catcher... hit .241 (34-for-141) with seven doubles, two triples and 19 RBI... posted a slugging percentage of .319 and an on base percentage of .319 with eight walks and 20 hit by pitches... earned her first collegiate RBI against Drake on 2/11 on a bases loaded hit by pitch and her first collegiate hit, a double, on the same day against North Dakota... had nine multiple hit performances... earned a season high three RBI against Bradley on 3/28... caught 13 stealing on the year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named All-Area mention and a member of the 2010 IHSA 4A Regional Championship team... batted .346 with 18 doubles, three homers and 34 RBI in 2010... played summer ball for Beverly Bandits Gold where she hit .366 with ten doubles, four homers and 36 RBI in 2010... 2010-11 All-Conference... 2010-11 team captain... Muscle Milk 'Player of the Week'... ESPN Rise National Player of the Week... tabbed ICA All-State Second Team for her 2010-2011 effort.

PERSONAL: Born July 20, 1993... daughter of Tony and Pina Romeo... hobbies include reading and dinner with her Grandpa... favorite musical group is Maroon Five... favorite professional sports team is the Chicago Cubs.
