MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois Football has announced three staff promotions heading into the 2026 season.

Caleb Bonner has been promoted to Defensive Run Game Coordinator/Outside Linebackers Coach, adding run game coordinator duties to his role with the Leatherneck defense.

Elven Walker has been elevated to Defensive Pass Game Coordinator/Cornerbacks Coach and will continue working with the team's cornerbacks while taking on a larger role in the defensive game-planning process.

Jared Sutton has been promoted to Director of Recruiting Strategy and Scouting, where he will oversee recruiting organization, player evaluations, and scouting efforts for the program.

All three have been valuable members of the Leatherneck staff and have earned increased responsibilities through their work and commitment to the program. Their promotions come as Western Illinois continues preparations for the upcoming 2026 season.
