Mana Fawcett and Nathan McLoughlin Named Leatherneck Student Athletes of the Month

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois Athletics announced Mana Fawcett and Nathan McLoughlin as its Leatherneck Student-Athletes of the Month following standout performances in Ohio Valley Conference and indoor competition.

Mana Fawcett delivered a dominant month for the Leatherneck women's tennis program, earning Ohio Valley Conference Singles Player of the Week honors twice, while also being named Doubles Player of the Week. Fawcett's consistency in both singles and doubles play anchored Western Illinois Tennis throughout the month, as she continued to collect conference recognition on a weekly basis.

On the track and field side, Nathan McLoughlin turned in a historic performance at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational. McLoughlin cleared a height of 4.85 meters in the men's pole vault, a mark that now ranks third all-time in indoor program history at Western Illinois. His vault stands as one of the top indoor performances in the event this season for the Leathernecks.

The Leatherneck Student-Athlete of the Month award recognizes outstanding competitive achievement and contributions to Western Illinois Athletics across all sports.
