WIU Football Game At Northwestern Moved Up To Friday Night; Illinois Game Time Announced

MACOMB, Ill-  The Big Ten Conference announced the game times for Leatherneck football's Week one and two matchups at Illinois and Northwestern today. WIU will kick off their season at Illinois on Friday, August 29th at 6:30 p.m in Champaign. The Week one game will be broadcast on Peacock, NBC's streaming platform. Fans will need to purchase a Peacock subscription to watch the game, which is available starting at $7.99 per month. The Leathernecks will then kick off Week two on the following Friday night when they travel to Evanston, Illinois to play the Northwestern Wildcats on September 5 at 6:30 p.m on the Big Ten Network. WIU will have their first two games of the 2025 season on Primetime, putting Western Illnois football in the spotlight. Both games on August 29 and September 5 will be the only Big Ten game of the evening.
