MACOMB, IL – Six members of the Western Illinois Football program earned OVC–Big South All-Conference honors.
Junior running back Markell Holman and senior linebacker Christian Pierce and team captain were selected to the First Team All-Conference, leading the Leathernecks' honorees. Holman secured the OVC–Big South rushing title this fall, while Pierce delivered one of the league's most consistent defensive seasons.
On the Second Team All-Conference, Western Illinois was represented by senior wide receiver Demari Davis and senior tight end Alex Williams, both key pieces of the Leatherneck offense.
Senior offensive lineman and team captain Dagen Miller and freshman linebacker Justin Buckner earned Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition. Miller anchored the Leathernecks' front throughout the year, while Buckner emerged as a standout newcomer on defense.
Western Illinois' six selections showcase the individual performances that stood out throughout the season, as well as the continued development of the Leatherneck program.
