Matchup history: The Leathernecks and Norse have played two times in program history, both during the 1976-77 season. Western lost both games, one at home (Nov. 30) and one on the road (Jan. 8). As a member of the Horizon League, head coach Rob Jeter and associate coach Chad Boudreau coached against the Norse during their time at Milwaukee.

Players to watch: Luka Barisic has been a steady presence for the Leatherneck offense this season. Against DePaul, he played a season-high 32 minutes and scored a team-high 21 points, shooting 8-14 from the field and making four of his eight shot attempts from behind the arc. The graduate student from Osijek, Croatia, has scored in double figures in every game he's played this season, averaging 15.3 points per game and making a team-high 46.2% of his three-point attempts.

A junior from Bloomington, Ill., Colton Sandage has been an important presence in the team's 3-1 start. After scoring seven points in the season-opening victory against Nebraska, he's averaged 15 points a game in his last three, shooting 44% from the field and hitting seven three-pointers during that stretch. Against DePaul on Saturday (Nov. 20), Sandage scored the team's first six points and drew a charge in the opening two minutes.

Scouting the opponent: The Norse are currently 2-1 and coming off a 74-73 victory against Eastern Michigan, who the Leathernecks are set to play on Wednesday (Nov. 22). Trevon Faulkner is the team leader in minutes played (93), scoring (16.7 per game) and three-pointers made (12). Led by Adrian Nelson's nine, the Norse have grabbed an average of 36.3 rebounds per game, and have six players listed at 6-8 or taller.

What's next: After Monday's game against Northern Kentucky, the Leathernecks will have one more road game before returning to Macomb. The team faces Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, Mich., on Wednesday (Nov. 24). Tip-off at the Convocation Center is scheduled for 2 p.m.
