Leatherneck Captains Named All-MVFC

Jared Drake and Clint Ratkovich received All-MVFC honors, while four were named honorable mentions.

ST. LOUIS – Western Illinois captains Jared Drake and Clint Ratkovich finished the 2019 season with All-Missouri Valley Football Conference recognition, conference offices announced Monday (Dec. 2).

Receiving his first Valley award, Drake was named a second-team long snapper, while Ratkovich earned first-team honors at fullback.

appeared in every game this season ... snapped for Adam Fellner, who averaged 42.5 yards per punt ... recorded seven tackles (five solo) ... first-year team captain
 
Clint Ratkovich, FB, 6-1, 220, Jr., Crete, Ill., Crete-Monee
recorded his 1,000th career receiving yard vs. Illinois State ... ranked third in the MVFC in receptions per game (4.8) ... finished second on the team with 444 receiving yards while adding a team-high 258 rushing yards ... six touchdowns on the year (all in MVFC action) ... two-year captain
