Breast Cancer Awareness | In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Western Illinois football will be collecting funds to benefit Linda's Fund.

Linda's Fund was created in October 2008 in memory of Linda (Ren) Bainter as an initiative in support for women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. Linda's Fund offers financial assistance to women in west-central Illinois who are using the services of McDonough District Hospital. 
 
Before the coin toss, there will be a flyover; the pilot is from the 303rd Fighter Squadron of the Whiteman Air Force Base. 
 
The Series | Saturday's game between Western Illinois and Illinois State will mark the 102nd all-time meeting in their storied rivalry. The Leathernecks lead the series, 51-47-3.

Just Kickin It | Nathan Erickson continues to pace Western in scoring with a team-high 31 points. The junior kicker is 6-for-8 in field goals -- his longest coming from 45 yards out – with a perfect 13-for-13 effort in point-after attempts.
 
10-Plus | At Indiana State, Andre Whitley (13) and Zach Glisan (12) led the Leatherneck defense with 13 and 12 tackles, respectively. It marked the first time Western has seen two finish with 10-plus in a single-game this season. For Whitley, the achievement also cemented a new single-game high. 
 
Racked Up on Ranks | Western is coming off of its third consecutive season with at least two wins over a ranked opponent. The Leathernecks took on four 'Top 25' teams in 2018 and were 2-3 with decisions over Montana and Northern Iowa.

Western has played one ranked opponents this season in No. 10/15 Montana State. 
 
Welcome Back, Max | Max Norris saw his first action of the year in Western's triple-overtime loss to Missouri State. The senior entered the Valley matchup at 998 career rushing yards and finished it with his 1,000th. 
 
He is Western's active leading rusher with 1,084 yards.
 
The Best in the CFL | The Hamilton Tiger-Cats clinched first place in the Canadian Football League's east division and have earned a guaranteed bye in the Eastern Final. The Leathernecks have two former letter winners suiting up in the league as Jaelon Acklin plays for the Tiger-Cats and Sean McGuire the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (10-6). 
 
Acklin currently ranks third amongst the Hamilton wideouts with 595 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
