Dalan Ancrum Inks Deal In Qatar

The former Leatherneck will play for Al Arabi Sports Club.

MACOMB, Ill.- Former Leatherneck standout Dalan Ancrum (WIU, 2014-18) has agreed to a deal with Al Arabi Sports Club of Qatar, the club announced Sunday (Sept. 2).

As a senior in 2017-18, Ancrum appeared and started in all 28 games for Western Illinois, averaging 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest. Against SIUE on Nov. 22, 2017, he netted a career-high 34 points, which included a last-second 3-pointer to secure the win for the Leathernecks.

Ancrum ended his Leatherneck career with the 56th most points in program history, amassing 742 in four seasons. For his career, he pulled down 296 rebounds and shot 40.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Last season, Al Arabi finished second in the Qatar Basketball League after posting a 12-4 record.
