Men?s Tennis Defeats Chicago State, 5-2

VALPARAISO, Ind. - The Western Illinois men?s tennis team claimed a 5-2 victory over Chicago State Thursday, at the Mid-Continent Conference cluster in Valparaiso, Ind.The Leathernecks (11-6, 3-1 MID-CON) captured the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and 3 slots.In singles action, sophomore Martin Bostr?m won at No. 1, 6-4, 7-6(5) over Prabond Imanuel. Freshman Neil Lesinski captured the No. 4 slot with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Nicolas Ortega-Peric. Freshman Sean Ragee-Nelson and sophomore Michael Tiu were also victorious at No. 5 and 6 respectively. Ragee-Nelson won easily, 6-1, 6-2, while Tiu defeated Toni Todoric, 6-3, 6-1.Western Illinois will continue the cluster play Friday, against Oral Roberts.
