MACOMB, Ill. - The Western Illinois men?s tennis team fell to Wright State in the first match of the spring season by the score of 5-2 on Saturday. The match was held at the Lakeside Tennis Center in Galesburg.Western?s two points came off victories by sophomore Michael Tiu (Naperville, Ill.) and junior Drew Forsberg (Moline, Ill.) at the No. 5 and 6 singles positions respectively. Tiu defeated Daniel Sundersingh by the score of 7-5, 5-7, 10-5, while Forsberg won over Michael Hall, 7-6, (1), 6-0.Wright State won the first four positions as Lance Koetter defeated sophomore Martin Bostr?m (Stockholm, Sweden) 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 and Nicolas Camillene won over junior Justin Junck (Sioux City, Iowa) at No. 2, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4. Freshmen Neil Lesinski (Grayslake, Ill.) and Sean Ragee-Nelson (Decatur, Ill.) also lost singles matches.The Leathernecks lost two of the three doubles matches to lose the point to the Raiders.
