Western Illinois women's basketball student athlete Taylor Higginbotham has been selected as the WIU Hampton Inn Scholar Athlete of the Week for her performance last week against South Dakota. The sophomore guard tallied a game-high 25 points and four 3-pointers to help her team clinch The Summit League Regular Season Championship and the No. 1 seed in the league tournament. 

The Germantown, Wis. native currently holds a 3.802 GPA and is majoring in Exercise Science.
