Western Illinois men's swimming student-athlete Kyle Siebert has been named this week's WIU Hampton Inn Scholar Athlete of the Week.

During Western Illinois' meet on Saturday (Dec. 3) at Truman State, Siebert finished second in the 200-breast with a mark of 2:15.04. He also tacked on a third place spot in the 100-breast (1:01.13), and helped the 200-medley relay team to a 1:41.08 time for fourth in the event. 

The junior from Mundelein, Ill. has registered the ninth-best time in The Summit League in 200-breast (2:08.64). He also ranks 12th in the conference with a 59.12 swim in the 100-breast.

A product of Mundlein High School, Siebert currently holds a 3.546 GPA as a Recreation, Park and Tourism major.
