Western Illinois freshman men's golfer Adam Falk has been named WIU's Hampton Inn 'Scholar-Athlete of the Week' after helping lead the Leathernecks to an invitational championship this past weekend.

WIU took home the top spot in Indiana's Hoosier Invitational with a two-round score of 578 after opening the event with a 287 on Saturday before carding a 291 during round two.

Falk was one of two WIU golfers to finish in the 'Top 10' to lead the team, tying for eighth place overall with a 145. The Gothenburg, Sweden native shot a 73 (+1) in round one and a 72 (E) in round two.

Falk owns a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in pre-business, managment.
