Max Ford has been named Hampton Inn Scholar Athlete of the Week after finishing second overall in the heptathlon at the Don DeNoon Invitational over the weekend (Feb. 5-6). Ford compiled a total of 4,541 points, skyrocketing him to third all-time on the program's top-ten list. The Macomb, Illinois, native is only the fourth Leatherneck in school history to eclipse the 4,000 point mark.

The junior is majoring in physics and boasts a 3.6 GPA.
