Lommel, a junior on the Western Illinois men's track and field team, currently holds a 3.938 GPA. During the winter indoor season, Lommel has consistently moved his way up the Leatherneck all-time indoor record book, running a leg on the team's sixth-fastest distance medley relay team and running the third-fastest mile time.
