Kennedy Davis has been named a Hampton Inn Scholar-Athlete for the month of September. As of Oct. 1, the sophomore from O’Fallon, Mo., was tied for the team lead in matches played (14) and starts (14), leading the Leathernecks sets (53), points (173) and kills (136).
What’s the best part about playing for Western Illinois?
“The best part is getting to play with my lifelong best friends and make each other proud with our accomplishments.”
If you could give one piece of advice to someone hoping to play collegiately, what would you tell them?
“Put in the extra work outside of practices to make yourself better both physically and mentally.”
What’s your favorite non-sports related hobby?
“My favorite hobby is watching Netflix.”
If you could have dinner with three guests of your choosing, who would it be and why?
“I would invite Jesus so he can bless the food, Idris Elba because he is one of my favorite actors and Kylie Jenner so we can be best friends.”

“I am double jointed in my fingers.”

“My family and friends would describe me as a competitive, outgoing and positive person.”
Why did you choose your current major?
“There is so much to learn when it comes to my major and being educated about the law is crucial.”

“Dogs for sure. Cats scare me.”
