Tyler Stewart was named the Hampton Inn Scholar-Athlete for the month of April. Behind the plate, he has been a four year member of the Western Illinois baseball program and the graduating senior will earn his degree in Nursing. 

What is your pre-game ritual?
"Hy-Vee breakfast and a good BP playlist."
 
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
"People will respect you for your work ethic, not your work talent."

What’s the best part about competing at Western Illinois? 
"The tradition! The support from the campus and community makes you feel at home and a part of the Leatherneck family while playing."

What is your favorite TV show or movie and why?
"Ozarks! The show is set in one of my favorite places with tons of suspense and action."

What is your dream job?
"Flying airplanes, but I’ll stick to nurse anesthetist for now."

What is your favorite food?
"Apple salad dessert"

What is your favorite hobby outside of sports?
"Riding dirtbikes and boating on the lake."

What are three words you would use to describe your personality? 
"Competitive, Funny, Outgoing."
