Kent Murphy, 2001 - Kent’s 1984 winning percentage tied the best single-season mark of any Leatherneck pitcher. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 1984 draft, but returned to Western Illinois for his senior season, earning AMCU-8 Player of the Year honors. He was then drafted by the Cleveland Indians and played in the minor leagues until 1989.
