Dempsey Reid (deceased), 1997 - Dempsey was chairman of the WIU Athletic Council and Faculty Athletic Representative from 1948-66. He officiated WIU home gymnastic meets from 1951-66 and was also an official for the 1966 NAIA Championship meet. He served as treasurer of the IIAC (1952-70) and commissioner (1966-70).
