Western Illinois University Athletics

The Athletic Communications office strives to promote all 17 intercollegiate athletics programs primarily by servicing local, regional and national media outlets. Its goal is to continually improve the overall image of the Athletics Department and Western Illinois University on behalf of the student-athletes, coaches, administration, alumni and fans.

Specific services provided include:

• Arranging media interviews
• Maintaining the department's website
• Reporting results to media outlets
• Promoting student-athletes for conference, regional and national awards
• Archiving the department's history
• Coordinating the department's printed material
• Maintaining official statistics
