JUNIOR (2018-19): Earned The Summit League's Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 16 after winning both the 200-back and 200-IM and finishing in second in the 200-free in a dual meet on Oct. 13 at Northern Iowa... Followed that up by named Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 23 after taking the 100-back (52.21) and coming in third in the 200-IM (1:56.91) in an Oct. 20 dual meet with Butler and Olivet Nazarene at IUPUI. That honor made Bladel the first first WIU male swimmer to take home two weekly awards in one season since Eric Campbell in 2009.
SOPHOMORE (2017-18): Set five new individual personal-bests, including four at The Summit League Championships... His mark in the 200-free (1:39.54) at The Championships is a school-record, with his marks in the 100-back (50.34) and 100-fly (49.72) each registering second... His time in the 100-free (45.94) is the fifth-fastest in WIU history... Also helped the Leathernecks' 800-free relay squad to the third-best swim in school history at 6:47.91... Placed fifth at The Championships in the 100-fly, sixth in the 200-back (1:51.10) and eighth in the 100-back.... Won the 100-IM (56.38) on Oct. 21 at IUPUI... Took the 100-back (54.02) and came in second in the 100-fly (55.24) on Nov. 4 against both Valparaiso and Olivet Nazarene... Hit second in the 100-free (47.20) on Feb. 2 at Iowa.
FRESHMAN (2016-17): 2016-17 All-League... After just one year in the program, sits second in school history in both the 100-back (50.63) and 200-back (1:50.76), while resting eighth in the 100-fly (50.87)... Set three individual personal-bests at The Summit League Championships... Helped the 200-medley (1:30.96) and 400-medley (3:19.00) relay squads to a third place finish, while the 800-relay team touched fifth at the meet... Came in fourth in the 200-back (1:50.76), ninth in the 100-back (50.63) and 14th in the 100-fly (50.87) at The Championships.
