Women's Soccer Announces Addition of Emily Bollman

The Coal Valley, Illinois native is set to join the Leathernecks this fall

MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois Director of Soccer Dr. Eric Johnson announced on Wednesday, April 6, the addition of Emily Bollman to the women's soccer program. Bollman has signed her National Letter of Intent and is set to join the team this coming fall.

"Emily is a wing forward that can attack teams with and without the ball. She is a proven scorer for her club and high school, and will provide that same mentality here at Western," said Johnson. "She is a coach's child, so she has been around the game here entire life and has a very good understanding of soccer tactics and strategy. We are looking forward to having her join our program."

Bollman is a 5'5" forward out of Coal Valley, Illinois who spent the last four years playing varsity soccer for Alleman Valley High School. As a junior, Bollman led the team with 33 goals and 20 assists. She was named team MVP for leading the Pioneers to an 18-3-2 overall record and third-place finish in IHSA 1A state championships.

Bollman was the lone freshman to be named to the 2013 All-Metro team and was also tabbed to the Dispatch/Argus Girls' Soccer All-Star team and the All-Western Big 6 Conference team that same year. As a sophomore, she was named All-Conference, All-Metro, All-Sectional Honorable Mention and earned Offensive MVP for Alleman.

She also played club soccer for Sporing QC in the Quad Cities and was one of 18 players from a 12-state region to make the Region II team that played in the Inter-regional Showcase in Boca Raton, Florida this past November.
