Leatherneck Sports Network Expands in 2016-17

WIU Football opener at EIU on Thursday kicks off the new season

MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois opens the football season on Thursday (Sept. 1), and Leatherneck Athletics will again partner with LB Sports Productions (WRMS-FM 94.3 in Beardstown) as the radio flagship station.
 
WRMS-FM (94.3 in Beardstown), one of seven radio stations that comprise the Leatherneck Sports Network, serves as the flagship station.
 
Fans can listen to every game on the radio and online at www.WRMSFM.com. Fans can also download the TuneIn Radio app on iTunes or Google Play then search for WRMS radio to listen to every Leatherneck game on their mobile device or tablet.
 
Scott Kornberg returns for his third year as the play-by-play voice of Leatherneck football and men's basketball. Dr. Tom Cody will again provide commentary and analysis during the football broadcasts.
 
In addition to complete season-long coverage of football, men's basketball and women's basketball, LB Sports Productions will expand radio and online coverage of select Leatherneck baseball and softball games.

The Leatherneck Sports Network affiliates include:
- WRMS 94.3 FM in Beardstown: A 6,000-watt station reaching west-central Illinois from Beardstown to Macomb, Jacksonville and Springfield, then up towards Peoria.
 
-WJEQ 102.7 FM in Macomb: Renewing its partnership with Leatherneck Athletics is Regional Media and WJEQ-FM. The Macomb station is a 10,000-watt signal covering the region from Macomb to Burlington, down to Quincy and north to Galesburg.
 
- WPWQ 106.7 FM in Quincy: The 'Oldies Superstation' is a 25,000 watt FM station that covers western Illinois, northeastern Missouri, and southeastern Iowa.
 
- KWBZ 107.5 FM in Monroe City, Missouri: A 10,000 watt station covers the northeast corner of Missouri, reaching from Canton, Hannibal, Montgomery City, Moberly and near Columbia.
 
- WAIK 1590 AM in Galesburg: A 5,000 watt daytime station that extends throughout east-central Illinois, including Peoria, Monmouth, Macomb and near Springfield.
 
- KCLN 1390 AM in Clinton, Iowa: Coverage for this 1,000 watt station goes from Clinton down to the Quad Cities, over to Kewanee and Princeton, and into Wisconsin.
 
- 88.3 FM the Dog in Macomb: The Western Illinois student radio station continues its affiliation with the Leatherneck Sports Network. The station will carry all home football, volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball contests, in addition to softball games.
